There's been a lot of buzz surrounding what will be the ninth(!!!) Naruto anime film, and sixth in the Naruto Shippuden series. Titled Naruto the Movie: Road to Ninja, series creator Masashi Kishimoto is taking his boisterous ninja into an alternate timeline, where his parents never lost their lives and the villainous Tobi has completed his goals of ruling the world.While not directing, Kishimoto came up with the story, script, and provided the character designs.
Truth: I've only seen a few minutes of the Naruto anime, although I have a bunch of friends who are salivating at the potential of this film. A new 30 second teaser(in Japanese, unfortunately) gives a taste of what they can expect from this alternate Naruto universe. Road to Ninja hits theaters in Japan on July 28th, and will no doubt make waves here in America whether it's in a limited theatrical run or on Blu-Ray....
