The next time somebody tells you The Hangover Part II was just a total rehash of the first film, be sure to let them know of one major difference between them: The sequel had no Black Doug. Yeah, Black Doug, Mike Epps' hilarious cameo that only served to make the Wolfpack's drugged out journey more confusing. With The Hangover III coming our way next year, Variety reports that Epps will be making a comeback as well.
It's unclear at this point what part Black Doug is going to play, or how he'll fit in to the Tijuana-set comedy. What we know so far has Stu(Ed Helms) and Phil(Bradley Cooper) breaking Alan(Zach Galifianakis) out of a mental ward, and who knows what craziness will pop off from there. Ken Jeong is back as Chow in a larger role, and you know Mike Tyson wouldn't dare miss the big finale. I can only assume the presence of Black Doug means more headaches for the actual Doug(Justin Bartha).
Am I the only one who is looking forward to this film? The sequel wasn't perfect, but the formula worked and I appreciated that they took the gross out gags to another level. Hopefully when The Hangover Part III opens on May 24th it'll maintain the level of quality we've grown accustomed to.
