Ever heard of the old wives tale warning you to hold your breath when passing in old cemetery, lest you breathe in some old, evil spirit? Me neither, but it's an urban legend that apparently exists and forms the basis of The Asylum's first foray into feature films, #holdyourbreath. Are Twitter hashtags seriously creeping their way into our movie titles now? Ugh, #stupidmoviegimmicks.
Anyway, the film stars the ultra hot Katrina Bowden(Tucker & Dale vs. Evil) as one of seven friends on a weekend getaway who pass a cemetery, only to have one of them not obey the myth and gets possessed by a notorious serial killer. Jared Cohn(Bikini Spring Break) is directing, which I'm sure instills you with a buttload of confidence. In case you didn't know, The Asylum is mainly responsible for all those really awful crossbred monster flicks you see on the SyFy Channel, and those cheap knock-off flicks like Transmorphers and Almighty Thor. They are good at getting F-League stars to show up and get eatin' by giant alligators and shit, so they're worth something I guess. To be fair, this looks better than their usual stuff, so it might be worth checkin' out this Halloween season.
