Battleship: While I'm on record clearly stating my dislike for this movie I'm willing to give it another chance as a rental. Yes it's cheesy, yes it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, yes there are parts that will make you cringe...but still I have a feeling that there will be some redeeming qualities when it's not costing you $9 a ticket. Taylor Kitsch starts out the movie seeming like he's got what it takes to be a star but then, mostly due to the film and not his performance, it devolves into a forgettable 2 hour boat ride. Forgettable always sounds like such a bad thing, but in this case if all your looking for is a short escape from reality on your couch, it may just do the trick.

Think Like A Man: A meta-romantic comedy, Think Like A Man, looks at the lives of four buddies and how Steve Harvey's book of the same name is affecting their relationships. The book is basically Harvey teaching women our playbook. Sounds silly, it is, but it's also a really fun watch. Thanks mostly to the cast, especially Kevin Hart who really proves himself here, the movie takes a fun and different (even if only slightly) turn at rom-com's. Definitely worth a rental and if your a casual buyer of new releases it wouldn't hurt having this on your shelf.

The Lucky One: The latest adaptation of a Nicolas Sparks (The Notebook) novel finds Zac Efron playing a Marine just home from Iraq searching for the woman who's picture was his lucky charm down range. I really wanted to like this movie but there was just something missing. Honestly every Sparks' adaptation since The Notebook has failed to hit many of the chords that the Ryan Gosling/Rachel McAdams romance struck. This one is going to be relegated to girl's night in...guys, try to get your way out of seeing this one, you're not going to like it, I'm sure of it.
