Michael Bay's 'Pain and Gain' finally gets a release date

Did you forget all about Michael Bay's small budget crime comedy, Pain and Gain? You can be forgiven for doing so, since nobody's really been talking about it in favor of jumping on every Transformers 4 tidbit(I do it too) or throwing rocks at his Ninja Turtles. Paramount Pictures hasn't forgotten about it, though, and they've finally pegged the film with a release date of April 26th 2013.

Budgeted at about $15-$20M, which wouldn't cover the cost of food for a Transformers shoot, the true crime caper stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson as a pair of Florida bodybuilders who engage in murder and kidnapping. They screw up big time when they abduct and leave for dead a rich businessman, who hires his own investigator to track them down. It's a pretty soft weekend at this point, with only the romantic comedy The Big Wedding slated for that day.

Rob Corddry, Rebel Wilson, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Tony Shalhoub, Bar Paly, Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau, and Ken Jeong co-star.
