We're now less than six months away from the release of Warner Bros. next stab at their own "young adult" film franchise, the adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's Beautiful Creatures. Other than a couple of photos we haven't seen a heck of a lot from it, though, so I have to assume a trailer has to be on the way soon. They may decide to wait until after Twilight wraps up in November so that anxious fans of the genre will immediately have something to focus on.
For now we'll have to settle for a handful of new snaps from the film, which stars Alden Ehrenreich(Tetro) and Alice Englert(Ginger & Rosa) as two southern teens who discover they share a supernatural connection that involves deeply hidden family secrets. It sounds like pretty standard stuff, but with Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann, Kyle Gallner, and Margo Martindale in the supporting cast it has all the talent to be something better than the norm.
Richard LaGravanese(Water for Elephants) is directing, and since this is only the first of the four-book Caster Chronicles, we'll be seeing these movies for awhile. Check out the Beautiful Creatures pics below....[Kino]
