So what does all this good news equate to? More movies, of course. Sequels are where the money's at, and today NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke confirmed that we'll be getting follow-ups to both films as soon as possible. We've actually heard quite a lot about Bourne already, with producer Frank Marshall saying a fifth film would follow Renner's Aaron Cross character. As for Ted, it'll be interesting to see who comes back for it. Wahlberg's always a busy guy, and the same goes for Mila Kunis at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if she's written out in order to put more focus on the buddy duo, which is where the most laughs came from anyway. This is all speculation on my part, though.
It's anybody's guess when either movie will happen, but in regards to Ted 2, Burke said it'll be "as soon as we can". Sounds like a priority deal to me. [THR]
