Is Tom Cruise trying to become the guy we think of for science fiction action flicks? With back-to-back filming on Oblivion and All You Need is Kill, it sure seems like it. For whatever reason, he's especially interested in the genre right now, and with nearly a half dozen projects on his radar, Cruise is adding another sci-fi film onto the pile.
Variety reports Cruise has attached himself to Our Name is Adam, a science fiction film from writer T.S. Nowlin(Agent 13) and producer Mary Parent(Pacific Rim). We don't know anything about the plot just yet, nor do we know where the film is slotted on Cruise's schedule. Not counting the two films already mentioned, here's what he's got on his plate: a Van Helsing reboot that may be directed by Rupert Sanders; a remake of The Magnificent Seven; a Top Gun sequel; and let's not forget Mission: Impossible 5. Wow.
Cruise will be seen next in the very non-science fiction Jack Reacher, due out on December 21st.
