1st look at Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton in Jim Jarmusch's 'Only Lovers Left Alive'
Sometimes, like in the case of Jim Jarmusch's vampire flick Only Lovers Left Alive, we have to wait a long time for the director to put all the pieces together. The results are almost always worth it, though, and I imagine a tale of bloodsuckers told from his perspective will be unlike anything else we've seen.
The first photo from the film has been issued, featuring stars Tilda Swinton and Tom "Loki" Hiddleston in some sort of embrace. She clearly wears the pants in that relationship. They play a pair of centuries-old vampire lovers who run into problems with her wild sister, played by Mia Wasikowska. Anton Yelchin and John Hurt are also aboard, so Jarmusch has put together a very impressive crew. No wonder it's taking so long. [Indiewire]
There's still no distribution, and thus no release date. I'd expect it to turn up on the festival circuit later in the year.
