You probably wouldn't expect Sundance, or a press conference for John Krokidas' Beat Generation thriller Kill Your Darlings to be the place to learn about superhero movies. But somehow or another that's what has happened. Hitfix was in attendance as Krokidas introduced the film's cast, which includes future Harry Osborn, Dane DeHaan(Chronicle). Here's what he said when it was DeHaan's turn to hit the floor....
Krokidas introduced the cast of Darlings which includes Daniel Radcliffe, Ben Foster and Michael C. Hall. When he got to DeHaan he said “He’s the Green Goblin.” DeHaan just smiled, but it didn’t seem like Krokidas was kidding.
We kind of expect that the Green Goblin will turn up sooner or later in The Amazing Spider-Man sequel, but so soon? And no Norman Osborn first? There was also some talk of a love triangle, but DeHaan wouldn't reveal whether it's between Osborn, Gwen Stacy, and Peter Parker, or some other configuration including Mary Jane Watson. What, Elektro can't get any love?
It's always possible that Krokidas just misspoke, but then again maybe not.
