Julia Garner joins 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For'
It's been a successful week for fast-rising star Julia Garner. She was recently at Sundance for the premier of the cannibal horror, We Are What We Are, which was promptly picked up for distribution later this year. Having made appearances in Martha Marcy May Marlene and most recently in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Garner has now landed a role in her most high-profile film to date.
Garner will join the ever-growing cast of Robert Rodriguez's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, which is currently filming in Austin, TX. She won't be taking on the coveted Ava Lord role, but instead will play a young stripper opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt's newly created Johnny character. She joins the returning Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Jamie King, Rosario Dawson, and Bruce Willi. Newcomers include Josh Brolin, Jamie Chung, Dennis Haysbert, Ray Liotta, Christopher Meloni, Juno Temple, and Jeremy Piven.
So she'll be a part of one of the new stories penned by William Monahan (The Departed), while the overarching story deals with how Dwight(Brolin) gets involved with his scandalous ex, leading to his receiving a totally new face. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens on October 4th 2013.
