Three new clips from Steven Soderbergh's 'Side Effects'
Here's the deal, it's looking like Steven Soderbergh's theatrical swansong is going to be one Hell of a twisty thrillride. That means you may want to walk into Side Effects with as little information as possible. So think about that before taking on the three new clips that have been released, which primarily focus on Jude Law's character, Dr. Jonathan Banks.
Banks is the psychologist who prescribes an experimental new drug to Emily(Rooney Mara), to help calm her anxiety over the return of her husband(Channing Tatum) from prison.Turns out the drug may have some debilitating side effects, and the good doctor facing some trouble for administering it. These clips show Banks' homelife with his wife(the excellent Vinessa Shaw), then discussing Emily's case with a colleague played by Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Soderbergh and Contagion scribe Scott Z. Burns don't often let us down. I don't imagine Side Effects is where they'll start. The film arrives on February 8th.
