Sony Pictures has released the first poster for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, with the trailer set to debut tomorrow. Formerly titled Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers, the film picks up right where the last one left off, with inventor Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) finally being recognized for his genius, invited to join the prestigious Live Corp Company by his idol, Chester V (Will Forte). But when Flint, his gal Sam Sparks (Anna Faris), and an evolved orangutan return to Swallow Falls, they discover that his machine that turns water into food has been creating mutant food beasts which have overrun the town.
Original directors Chris Lord and Phil Miller are producing, opening the door for Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn to helm based on a script by Horrible Bosses duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Benjamin Bratt, Terry Crews, Kristen Schaal, Andy Samberg, and Neil Patrick Harris are all lending their voices to the animated sequel. I still haven't seen the first one, so maybe it'll be something to catch up with before Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 arrives on September 27th.
