New trailer and clip from 'Jack the Giant Slayer'
After teasing us with a clip and preview over the weekend, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Bryan Singer's Jack the Giant Slayer. The film stars the red hot Nicholas Hoult, who is poised to have a huge 2013 with this, Warm Bodies, and the long-developing Mad Max: Fury Road.
There's a lot of new footage here, and a greater emphasis on the massive CGI giants. Not sure that's wise considering Hoult's momentum right now. It may be best to play him up as a future star and current heartthrob. Amongst the new bits are a surprising amount of comedy, including a hilarious moment when poor Eddie Marsan tries to run away on his puny little human legs. Not really a fair match, is it? The story is a mature, adventurous version of the classic story, Jack must help defend the kingdom against a race of giants returned to Earth for the first time in centuries.
Also starring Ian McShane, Eleanor Tomlinson, Stanley Tucci, Ewan McGregor, and Bill Nighy, Jack the Giant Slayer hits theaters on in 3D on March 1st. You can also check out a newly released clip, which has Jack looking mighty foolish in front of the locals.
