Official plot and new pics for 'Fast & Furious 6'
Can you believe the Fast and Furious franchise is about to hit its sixth film? Seriously, who amongst us thought it would that stupid action movie about street racing would survive this long? Especially after the generally disregarded Tokyo Drift? Tokyo Drift is awesome, by the way. Don't sleep. Anyway, as we near the release of Fast & Furious 6, and this weekend's Super Bowl TV spot, the full synopsis has been revealed along with a handful of new photos.
We already know that Diesel and Walker will be back and burning rubber in a Euro-set heist tale, with Dwayne Johnson returning as super-cop Agent Hobbs, not to mention the rest of the Scooby Gang from the other flicks. Luke Evans is playing the heel, with other new additions including Gina Carano, Clara Paget, and The Raid: Redemption's Joe Taslim. Here's the full plot breakdown....
Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian's (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin's empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.
Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.
Hm, call me crazy but I don't think they'll get those full pardons. Directed by Justin Lin, Fast & Furious 6 steers into theaters on May 24th. Check out the new images below.
