Rumor: 'Fringe' star John Noble turning to the dark side in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'?
On a scale of rumor legitimacy, this latest one for Star Wars: Episode VII is absolutely falling on the shaky side, but there are enough compatible ingredients to make it worth a mention. Plus it's Star Wars, how can we not bring it up? On an Australian morning radio show, one of the hosts said she has it on "good authority" that Fringe star John Noble will play a villain in the upcoming film. What does she base this on? Not very much, really, which is why this whole thing is skeptical at best.
It's possible she got it mixed up with one of the many online petitions demanding Noble be cast in the film, so who knows? She and Noble are both Australian, so maybe they know one another? Everybody knows each other down there, right? But one also has to consider that Star Wars director J.J. Abrams was a Fringe co-creator, and obviously knows how good Noble could be as a Dark Lord of the Sith or something. Noble also played a fairly bad dude as Denethor in the Lord of the Rings movies.
You know the drill. Don't take this too seriously, but keep it tucked away somewhere in the recesses of your brain where all the dubious movie rumors are stored. [TheForce]
