Sure Shots: Adam Sandler; Michael Biehn; Jeremy Jordan

* It was just last fall that Adam Sandler was set to star in the comedy western, Ridiculous 6, for his own Happy Madison productions. Well, that plan has been put on hold as he'll now star in an untitled romantic comedy that has been set up at Warner Bros. for years. Written by Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera, the story follows a man and woman who, after a disastrous blind date, are stuck with their kids from previous marriages in a resort for families. The two fall in love and the kids benefit somehow from merging broods. So it's like The Brady Bunch, only with Sandler's unique brand of stupid? This one's moving quickly, with a director and supporting cast being sought. Sandler is targeting his 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer co-star Drew Barrymore for the female lead. [Deadline]

* The awesome Michael Biehn has next lined up a starring role in Severed Connection, a Canadian horror about man and woman who wake up to find themselves trapped in a remote location. The film stars Jennifer Blanc, UFC star Krzysztof Soszynski, and co-writers Nick Bateman and Cody Hackman. The film is expected to open in 2014. [THR]

* Richard LaGravanese may have hit a rough patch with Beautiful Creatures, but his next film is shaping up nicely. He already has Anna Kendrick for the female lead in his upcoming musical, The Last 5 Years, and now he's added Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan (Joyful Noise) to star opposite her. Based on Jason Robert Brown's uniquely-structure Broadway stage play, which is in turn based on his own life, the story follows the ups and downs of a relationship between Cathy(Kendrick), a struggling young actress; and Jamie (Jordan), an up 'n coming novelist. The twist is that his side of the story unfolds chronologically, while hers unspools in reverse order. His begins as they first meet, while hers starts at the end of their marriage.
