We've talked a lot here about how James Marsden is quietly one of the funniest dudes in Hollywood. He was the best thing about Chris Rock's Death at a Funeral, was solid in Bachelorette, and if I reach back a few years he was hilarious in Sugar & Spice. Love that movie. Now he's going to get a chance to show off his comedic mettle opposite an entire cast of folks who can more than hold their own.
With production due to begin soon, Marsden is the latest to join Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Details on his role are slim, but he'll reportedly play some sort of rival anchor to Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy. Marsden vs. Ferrell? Possibly ending in another cameo-filled street brawl? Let's hope so! He'll join Steve Carell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Kristen Wiig, so yeah the cast is awesome and only getting better.
