Tops at the Box Office: 'Warm Bodies' takes #1 while 'Bullet to the Head' flops

1. Warm Bodies- $19.5M
Well, it certainly had all the ingredients to lure in the Twilight audience. Hunky leading man and leading lady with a striking resemblance to Kristen Stewart, playing star-crossed lovers in a supernatural romance. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, Warm Bodies' impressive opening may hold true for awhile longer, although it will face some stiff competition from Nicholas Sparks' Safe Haven. This is a good sign for Nicholas Hoults' leading man cred, especially as he's got Jack the Giant Slayer gearing up in just a few weeks.
2. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters- $9.2M/$34.4M
For a rather silly looking film which the studio couldn't find a place for and Jeremy Renner doesn't seem to like, it's actually doing pretty darn well. A 52% drop from last week knocks it out of the top spot, but the decline is less steep than expected.
3. Silver Linings Playbook- $8.1M/$80.4M
4. Mama- $6.7M/$58.2M
5. Zero Dark Thirty- $5.3M/$77.8M
6. Bullet to the Head- $4.5M
So if the pathetic openings of The Last Stand and Bullet to the Head tell us anything, it's that nobody wants to see these old guys outside of The Expendables. Stallone's last solo gig was 2008's Rambo, which did admirably well, but was likely bolstered by name recognition more than anything else. Kind of makes you wonder how Bruce Willis' A Good Day to Die Hard will perform, doesn't it?
7. Parker- $3.2M/$12.4M
Speaking of Expendables alumni rejected by the viewing public, Jason Statham's latest had the biggest drop of any film in the Top 10. Oops.
8. Django Unchained- $3M/$151M
9. Les Miserables $2.43M/$141.5M
10. Lincoln- $2.41M/$170.8M
