Two clips and featurette from Park Chan-Wook's 'Stoker'

My enthusiasm for Park Chan-Wook's Stoker was dulled temporarily by the reactions from those who saw it at Sundance. Nearly everything I heard was mixed at best, brutal at worst, but very few really sung its praises. Still, it ranks as one of the true must-see movies of 2013, and two new clips have emerged which have pumped my excitement level up a few notches.

In the first clip we get a tense moment at the dinner table between India (Mia Wasikowska) and her creepy uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), who just wants them to be "friends". I have a feeling his idea of being friendly is less than traditional. The second clip, done brilliantly in one continuous shot, has the local sheriff questioning the India about the rash of disappearances in the neighborhood ever since Charlie arrived.

Both of these give different looks at the curious relationship between India and her uncle. I can't wait to see what twists and turns that it takes. If you want more, there's also a short featurette that delves into the characters a little deeper. Co-starring Nicole Kidman, Jacki Weaver, Dermot Mulroney, and Alden Ehrenreich, Stoker hits theaters on March 1st.
