'Seinfeld' co-star Danny Woodburn is Splinter in 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'

The strange casting for the Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles continues. When Will Arnett came aboard, his role was kept suspiciously secret, leading some to speculate he'd either be the Turtles' nemesis Shredder (!?!) or their rat master Splinter. Well you can knock one of those options off the list now, as Danny Woodburn has signed on to play their furry sensei.

Woodburn is probably best known as Kramer's partner-in-crime on Seinfeld, but he was also one of the dwarfs in Mirror Mirror. He'll be joining Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, and Noel Fisher as Michaelangelo in taking on one of the motion-capture roles. Megan Fox is still the biggest name of all as April O'Neill, and Arnett's role remains a big secret. My money is on Krang or Baxter Stockman.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and opens on June 6th 2014.  [Deadline]
