The first trailer for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' is here

Those who endured the bad jokes and lame teasers during tonight's MTV Movie Awards were treated to something special at the end of the show. After a week of hype and photos showing off the popular cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the first full trailer has finally been revealed, and it really only fills in the blanks on half the story.

"She has become a beacon of hope for them. She has to be eliminated". With those words, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) begins his plan for revenge on Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) for their survival of the last Hunger Games. We see them on their "Victory Tour" across Panem, which Snow and new Head Gamesmaker Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman) plot to use as a means of ruining her image to the people. We see brief flashes of a growing rebellion, and only the barest mention of Snow's plan to destroy all of the past victors in the Quarter Quell.

Francis Lawrence takes over for Gary Ross behind the camera, and their differing styles are apparent almost immediately. Lawrence's camera is less frenetic, but this could be because none of the action footage is being shown just yet. The film is still seven months away, but what is the early verdict on what you've seen?  Does this make you more excited for November 22nd and the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire?
