Although it was shot last year, news on Spike Jonze's Siri-esque sci-fi romance Her has been virtually nonexistent. We know the film stars Joaquin Phoenix as a man who falls in love with his computer operating system, and features a cast that up to now included Amy Adams, Samantha Morton, Olivia Wilde, and Rooney Mara. Over the last couple of days the film received a new fall release date, and now Warner Bros. has revealed two more big names who secretly were a part of the production.
Scarlett Johansson and Chris Pratt are both in the cast, making this an interesting career move for both. Both are part of Marvel's vaunted cinematic superhero universe, she as Black Widow in The Avengers and the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Pratt is steadily climbing the celebrity ranks, and will lead the intergalactic Guardians of the Galaxy as Star-Lord next year. He'll also star opposite Vince Vaughn in The Delivery Man, an American remake of Canadian comedy, Starbuck.
At this point we don't know which of these lovely ladies will be the sexy voice of Phoenix's computer lover. Her is due to boot up on November 20th.
