'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Gets An Official Title

The $150M+ deathblow Disney suffered because of The Lone Ranger has caused a lot of questions to surface about Jerry Bruckheimer's Pirates of the Caribbean 5. The most recent reports suggest that Disney will take a seriously hard look at the budget, while also claiming control over the final edit, something Bruckheimer has always had. But the film progresses along, with Johnny Depp back as Jack Sparrow and Kon-Tiki directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg at the helm, and now the latest installment has a new title.

This Is Infamous have gone straight to the directors and learned that the title is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Oh joy, that will be fun to write every day, and it seems perfectly geared for some scathing headlines if it turns out to be a flop. No other details are available, of course, but we can look forward to the film setting sail on July 10th 2015.
