Julianne Moore Confirmed as Alma Coin in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay'

After being rumored a few months ago, Julianne Moore has now been confirmed for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, taking on the role of President Alma Coin in the final two films, directed by Francis Lawrence. She'll join other new additions Natalie Dormer, Stef Dawson, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Claflin, and Amanda Plummer.

Coin is one of the most important characters in Mockingjay, as the leader of District 13 and a key piece of the rebellion spearheaded by Katniss Everdeen. Their relationship goes through some twists and turns, as those who have read the book know, and it'll be interesting to see if the script by Danny Strong stays faithful to the novels or if the role is changed in any way.

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, and Elizabeth Banks, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay's two chapters arrive on November 21st 2014 and November 20th 2015.
