New Images of Horny Daniel Radcliffe in 'Horns'
One film that had a lot of buzz when it was first announced but has been a little quiet lately is Horns, based on the quirky horror novel by Joe Hill (aka Stephen King's son) and starring Daniel Radcliffe. That's probably about to change now that the film has made its debut in Toronto, and along with it EW has released a handful of new photos, giving us a look at the evil horns sprouting from Radcliffe's dome.
Directed by Alexandre Aja (Piranha, High Tension), the film has Radcliffe as "Ig" Perrish, who wakes up one day to discover a pair of nubs protruding from his head. He soon discovers they have some amazing, paranormal abilities, powers he uses to help uncover the truth behind the rape and murder of his girlfriend (Juno Temple), a crime he has been accused of. The book bears some similarities to Dean Koontz' Odd Thomas novels (also being adapted for the screen), and combines dark comedy, mystery, and supernatural horror elements, all things Aja has shown an ability to mesh in the past.
Also starring Max Minghella, Joe Anderson, Kelli Garner, and James Remar, Horns opens on October 11th. That'll be followed up a week later by Radcliffe's starring turn in the Beat Generation drama, Kill Your Darlings.
