Trailer for Long-Awaited 'Mr. Nobody' Starring Jared Leto, Sarah Polley, and Diane Kruger

One of the benefits of attending film festivals is that there's really no rhyme or reason to when many of the selections will get a theatrical release. In some cases the bigger films will come out later that year; in other cases they don't ever end up showing to the public. Jaco Van Dormael's trippy sci-fi film Mr. Nobody debuted four years ago in Venice (where it received a 10-minute standing ovation) and has been making the festival rounds across the globe ever since. Finally, for whatever reason, the U.S. is getting a chance to check it out for ourselves.

Jared Leto stars as Nemo, who in the year of 2092 is the last mortal on an Earth where humans have learned to become immortal. While on his deathbed, Nemo recounts his life and reflects upon the many paths he could have taken if only he had the courage to make choices.  The trailer bears a resemblance to Cloud Atlas, but there's also a little bit of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in there, as well. While It looks mighty impressive, and based solely on this footage it's hard to pick out a reason why we had to wait so long to see it.

Co-starring Sarah Polley, Diane Kruger, Rhys Ifans, Linh Dan Pham, and Juno Temple, Mr. Nobody hits VOD on September 26th before rolling into theaters November 1st.
