1st Look at Simon Pegg in 'Hector and the Search for Happiness'

Other than his fan-favorite "Three Flavours" trilogy, Simon Pegg has yet to find equal success as a leading man elsewhere. That could be about to change now that production has wrapped on Peter Chelsom's dramedy Hector and the Search for Happiness. To celebrate, the first, beautifully silhouetted image has been released.

Based on the novel by Francois Lelord, the film has Pegg as a young London psychologist who can't understand why his patients aren't getting happier, and more importantly why his life isn't really going anywhere. So he sets out an an exotic, global journey to find out if happiness truly exists, not only for his patients but for himself. With the similarly introspective and surreal The Secret Life of Walter Mitty arriving in just a few weeks, this could either be a nice companion piece or maybe even a better option if the middling early reviews for Ben Stiller's film hold up.

Also starring Rosamund Pike, Christopher Plummer, Toni Collette, Stellan SkarsgÄrd, and Jean Reno, Hector and the Search for Happiness has yet to gain a release date.
