Bryan Singer Reveals First Footage from 'X-men: Days of Future Past'
For months it's been pretty obvious that Bryan Singer is paying a lot of attention to what his counterparts at Marvel Studios have been up to. When Joss Whedon revealed he wanted to use Quicksilver in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Singer quickly wrote the character into X-men: Days of Future Past. There's been a passive-aggressive, mostly one-sided feud going on ever since, and perhaps that's the reason why Singer has decided to reveal the first footage from his upcoming X-men film at the same time as Marvel's trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The 7-second clip sells the epic scale and massive cast, with most of the footage taken from what was shown at Comic-Con over the summer. We get a brief look at Wolverine, back in his team uniform, alongside the older versions of Professor Xavier and Magneto. And there are also glimpses of a tearful Mystique, an enraged Beast, an unleashed Storm, and a whole lot more in a very short amount of time. All of this in preparation for the full trailer arriving next week, and a Twitter chat hosted by Singer on October 28th.
X-men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on May 23rd 2014.
