Mark Strong Explores Memories in New 'Mindscape' Trailer

After Christopher Nolan's mind-bending Inception, movies about exploring the depths of a person's mind are old news. Few can hope to match its combination of blockbuster action and high-minded concepts, and certainly the new thriller Mindscape doesn't even come close. At least not based on this new trailer which looks like it could be for a cop show on AMC.

The generally reliable Mark Strong (who actually stars on AMC's cop show Low Winter Sun, so there's that) plays a detective with the ability to enter the minds of others. He uses this gift in the case of an 18-year-old girl (Taissa Farmiga) to determine if she's a psychopath or a victim. Jorge Dorado makes his directorial debut and the whole thing looks uninspiring overall, which may be why Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, Non-Stop) is merely producing.

Mindscape has yet to gain a release date, and frankly I don't think we'll be missing much if it stays overseas.
