Duncan Jones Exits Ian Felming Biopic

When Duncan Jones agreed to direct Warcraft for Legendary Pictures, it threw the other projects he was attached to into question. Jones revealed a brief teaser over the summer that gave just a taste of what he was planning, and the mix of supernatural, fantasy, and other elements promises a long post-production process that will keep him busy through next year. Because of that, Jones has been forced to drop out of Fleming, a planned biopic on James Bond creator, Ian Fleming.

The film has been in the works for years, at one time with James McAvoy attached, and producers are hoping to get production going in 2014. Andrew Lycett's book Ian Fleming: The Man Behind James Bond serves as the source material, most recently adapted by John Orloff, and will follow Fleming's time in the Royal British Navy. It was his military and espionage career which would be the major influence in the creation of the world's most famous super spy.

With Fleming off his plate, Jones can now focus on having Warcraft ready for December 18th 2015. [TheWrap]
