First Look at the New Optimus Prime in 'Transformers: Age of Extinction'

So far we've seen plenty of the sweet new rides in Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction, but none of the "robots in disguise", and certainly nothing of the Dinobots. The only two confirmed Transformers we know will be part of the action are Bumblebee and Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, the latter receiving a new "upgraded, custom built" frame. This week's issue of Empire has the film splashed all over the cover page, and it offers the first look at the redesigned Optimus Prime.

At first glance it's a little weird that Empire's Oscar Special has Transformers: Age of Extinction on the cover because...well, it ain't winnin' sh*t.  The image shows the new look Optimus wielding his sword and shield (toy alert!!!) in front of stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor, who all look a little confused to be there. Well, except for Peltz who seems to be seducing someone off-panel. Bumblebee, you scamp!

Filming is basically wrapped up in Detroit and Hong Kong, and we can expect to see the film open on June 27th 2014. Check out the image below plus a set photo of Bay about to ruin a perfectly good Audi.
