In a little over a week all of that Hunger Games madness from last year resurfaces when Catching Fire hits theaters, and if the general rule of sequels stays true, this one is going to be a bigger hit than the $700M of the first film. So steel yourself for more chummy interviews with Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth than one can possibly handle by having a little fun with the franchise's incredible popularity.
First up are a couple of new clips, both of which are very cool in different ways. One shows an extended training session where Katniss and the other combatants in the Quarter Quell get to show off their most dangerous moves. That includes Katniss and her trusty bow, Jena Malone swinging a mean ax as Joanna Mason, and Sam Claflin with his trident as Finnick. The second clip gives us a look who may be the film's secret weapon, renowned actor Jeffrey Wright as Beetee, a genius and previous Hunger Games winner. In this scene we see him, Katniss, and Wiress (Amanda Plummer) studying Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), and figuring out that there's "always a flaw in the system", especially one as massive as the Capitol.
And lastly, a hilarious new viral video titled "Katniss Everdeen Kills Everything" has Katniss hitting everything with her best shot, including zombies in The Walking Dead, Zach Braff in Garden State, Indiana Jones, and she even lets a few crucial arrows fly during the infamous 'Red Wedding'. There are dozens of great scenes here, all of them pretty damn funny, but they save the absolute best for last in my opinion.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens November 22nd, and stay on the look out for our interview with co-star Willow Shields next week.
