If the poster's tagline "Fear the Man with Nothing to Lose" doesn't tell you The Rover is going to deal with men pushed to the bring, then perhaps the moody, searing first trailer will. Directed by David Michod, from a story he cooked up with his Animal Kingdom star, Joel Edgerton, the film stars Robert Pattinson as as a man carjacked and left for dead, losing something valuable in the process. Guy Pearce plays a dangerous drifter who helps him recover what was lost in a lawless, post-apocalyptic world that looks like something out of The Road.
The Rover will hit Cannes before opening in theaters June 13th, expanding nationwide a week later.
