New Trailer for 'Begin Again' Starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo
Irish director John Carney was able to create something truly heartwarming and special with Once, a quiet little gem of a film about two lonely people connecting over their mutual love of music. Carney isn't venturing too far away from his comfort zone with his latest film, Begin Again (formerly Can A Song Save Your Life?), only now he's got a much flashier cast.
A new trailer for Begin Again has been released in the U.K, and it still looks like fairly inoffensive stuff, if maybe a tad syrupy. Keira Knightley plays a British ex-pat who comes to New York with her rock star boyfriend (Adam Levine), until he leaves her high and dry. She's left alone and floundering as a singer until a washed-up record label exec played by Mark Ruffalo discovers her, giving them both a chance to "begin again".
Co-starring Hailee Steinfeld, James Corden (One Chance), Mos Def, Catherine Keener, and Cee-Lo Green, Begin Again opens on July 4th. Counter-programming much?
