You may not recognize Elden Henson's name but you would probably recognize his face and the type of role he typically plays. If a film calls for a loyal if somewhat confused and misguided friend, well then Elden Henson is probably your guy, and he's filled that role nicely in everything from The Mighty Ducks to She's All That to The Battle of Shaker Heights and more. Now he'll get to play the best pal to blind lawyer Matt Murdock aka the superhero Daredevil in Marvel's upcoming Netflix series.
Henson has signed on to play Foggy Nelson, Murdock's friend and law partner, who often finds himself getting into trouble or helping Daredevil out of it. Charlie Cox stars in the title role with Vincent D'onofrio as the Kingpin and Rosario Dawson in a role yet to be revealed. Jon Favreau played Foggy Nelson in the 2003 Daredevil film that starred Ben Affleck and everyone (but me) hated.
Steven S. DeKnight is running the show with the first couple of episodes penned by The Cabin in the Woods' Drew Goddard. Henson will be seen next as Pollux in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2.
