When Woody Allen's 1920s-set comedy Magic In the Moonlight opens later this summer it will be the legendary director's 48th feature film, an incredible run that doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. In fact he's already prepping next year's film, which still doesn't have a title but we know will star Emma Stone, Joaquin Phoenix, and now new addition Jamie Blackley.
Blackley, who appeared in The Fifth Estate and will be seen with Chloe Moretz in If I Stay, has come aboard Allen's film which we know will be set in Rhode Island. Of course, further details remain scarce and we probably won't know much more for awhile if Allen stays true to form. [Baz Bamigboye]
But with Magic in the Moonlight opening on July 25th a handful of new images have emerged from the period comedy, which has Stone starring alongside Colin Firth. He plays an Englishman brought in to suss out whether Stone's character is the spiritualist she claims to be, or if she's a total fraud. Things get more complicated when he begins to fall in love with her, and begins to suspect she may be the real deal. The film also stars Marcia Gay Harden, Hamish Linklater, Eileen Atkins, Jacki Weaver, and Simon McBurney.
