Carrie Fisher's Daughter Billie Lourd Has 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Role; Maisie Richardson-Sellers Confirmed?

Like all of the prior movies, Star Wars: Episode VII is very much a family affair. The story is said to follow the kids of Han Solo and Princess Leia in some capacity, although just how much remains unclear. There has yet to be any kind of confirmation on roles at this point, but it's possible Carrie Fisher's actual daughter Billie Lourd could play her on-screen child.

Many are crediting the story to Latino Review but I saw it first at The Tracking Board who state that Lourd has landed a mystery part in the film. This would be her first acting gig ever and one heck of a way to launch a career. She's also got some pretty big shoes to fill as her mother will always be remembered for her portrayal of Princess Leia. This could turn out to be just a small cameo offered to family members as John Boyega has been tweeting about his father's involvement in the film...
It's also worth noting that PR dude Abe Gurko, who happens was/is Fisher's assistant, tweeted about Lourd as part of the cast a couple of weeks back, also mentioning the as-yet-unconfirmed Maisie Richardson-Sellters...
This is hardly a confirmation of anything but it sounds like Richardson-Sellers is on board, too, despite her name not being in the official announcements. With her, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong'o, and possibly Lourd this is gearing up to be the most female-centric Star Wars movie yet.

Star Wars: Episode VII opens December 18th 2015 unless J.J. Abrams gets his way and it moves to May 2016.
