Mark Ruffalo Doesn't Think Much of a 'Planet Hulk' Movie....Yet

One of the popular rumors making the rounds awhile back involved a solo Hulk movie that would be centered on the Planet Hulk comic book storyline, which would then be followed by an Avengers film based on World War Hulk. The story was intriguing if only because the idea of Hulk battling alien gladiators on another world is pretty cool, but Marvel shot it down soon after. And yet the rumor has gained new traction with Mark Ruffalo recently stating that the idea of a Hulk movie is being considered again, but as far as the actor is concerned Planet Hulk is not the way to go.

Ruffalo discussed the idea of Planet Hulk with MTV and said this...

Ruffalo: “I don’t think ['Planet Hulk'] is the way to go yet. I think you need more Banner. The whole thing is just him as Hulk, on a planet, fighting other gladiators.”

He's not writing it off completely, and it sounds like he knows enough about the original story to comment on it so maybe he's given it some thought?  What it sounds like is Ruffalo would like to see the plot tweaked to provide more screen time for him to be Bruce Banner.
