At a whopping 165 minutes, Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction is the longest of the franchise by a good 11 minutes. That's probably about 100 minutes of vaguely recognizable Transformers smashing into one another, but the rest of the time will be stuff like what we see in this new clip. Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor feature in the latest footage, with Wahlberg playing a father who really doesn't like the guy trying to date his daughter (Nicola Peltz). For whatever reason Bay has decided to focus all of the released clips on the humans, perhaps because he knows we'll forget about them once the action starts.
All scenes like this do is remind me of that never-ending first hour of Dark Side of the Moon. If that happens again I'll be spending a lot of time watching the back of my eyelids. Transformers: Age of Extinction screens tonight here in DC and opens on June 27th.
