First Look at Owen Wilson, Imogen Poots and Jennifer Aniston in Peter Bogdanovich's 'She's Funny That Way'

The last film from renowned director Peter Bogdanovich was 2001's Charlie Chaplin mystery, The Cat's Meow, which I consider a very dear favorite even though most don't think much of it. In the thirteen years since he has kept fairly quiet, but now he's back with the screwball comedy She's Funny That Way (formerly Squirrel to the Nuts), and he hasn't lost his touch for attracting big names.

The first images from the film have been released, giving us a look at stars Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson, Imogen Poots, and Kathryn Hahn. Poots plays a call girl hired by the director (Wilson) of a Broadway production, even though the lead actress (Hahn) is his wife. Will Forte co-stars as a playwright who falls for Poots' character, which causes problems because he's dating her therapist played by Anistion.

Also starring Will Forte, Lucy Punch, Eugene Levy, Cybil Shepherd, Ahna O'Reilly, Richard Lewis, and Joanna Lumley, She's Funny That Way will be part of the Venice Film Festival. [via ThePlaylist]
