When was the exact moment that John Cusack turned into Nicolas Cage? It was definitely some time before they starred in The Frozen Ground together, but whenever it was the downward slide of Cusack's career has been hella harsh. If he's ever going to break out of this slump it's going to take better looking movies than Reclaim.
Starring a half-way decent cast of Ryan Philllippe (okay, bad start), Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver, Luis Guzman, and Rachelle Lefevere, this ripped from the headline tale follows an American couple in Puerto Rico to finalize the adoption of their new 7-year-old daughter. All seems well until they meet a sleazy local played by Cusack naturally, and suddenly people start disappearing, bullets start flying, and...well, you get the drift.
This looks pretty terrible but you probably guessed that already, didn't you? Directed by some guy named Alan White, Reclaim hits VOD and theaters on September 19th.
