Chastain stars as the titular aristocrat who uses her social status and sexuality to attract the attentions of her valet (Farrell), and the volatile affair that emerges threatens to consume everyone, including his fiancee played by Samantha Morton. This is a movie about power first and foremost, and the various forms it can take, but thankfully it doesn't look sleazy like Fifty Shades of Grey.
Miss Julie has yet to gain a distributor or release date but expect that to change soon.
