Trailer and Poster for Stephen King Adaptation 'A Good Marriage'

When it comes to Stephen King adaptations they are not all created equal. You get some great ones like Misery, Stand by Me, or The Mist (damn right I like The Mist!), but you also get a lot of cheaply-made crap. Unfortunately we probably get more of the latter than anything else, and it looks like another one is on the way in A Good Marriage.

A new trailer for the film has been released and...well, it looks like cheaply-made crap. Directed by Peter Askin (Trumbo) and starring Joan Allen, Kristen Connolly, Stephen Lang, and Anthony LaPaglia, the story centers on the wife of a man who is secretly a serial killer. When she accidentally stumbles upon evidence of his hidden life, it pretty much puts the kibosh on their wedded bliss. Dexter this guy ain't as he leaves proof of his killing where anybody can stumble upon it. Some serial killer.  But hey, who needs little details like that when probably nobody will see this movie, anyway?

A Good Marriage opens on October 3rd.
