Trailer for Andy Lau's 'Revenge of the Green Dragons' Produced by Martin Scorsese

When Martin Scorsese's The Departed became one of his most celebrated films with four Academy Award wins, including one for Best Director, it also drew attention to Infernal Affairs, Andy Lau's classic crime flick from which it was remade. Years later, Scorsese and Lau are working together more officially with Revenge of the Green Dragons, a Chinatown crime drama which is headed to Toronto for its world premiere.

Directed by Lau with Scorsese exec-producing, Revenge of the Green Dragons "follows two immigrant friends, Sonny and Steven, who survive the hard streets of New York in the 1980s by joining Chinatown gang The Green Dragons. Sonny and Steven quickly rise up the ranks, drawing the unwanted attention of the city’s police force." Lau and Scorsese have always had a similar affinity for stories centered on the criminal underbelly and this trailer looks exactly like the kind of film they'd make together.

Starring Ray Liotta, Justin Chon, Kevin Wu, and Harry Shum Jr, Revenge of the Green Dragons will release exclusively on DirecTV September 11th before hitting theaters a month later.
