Marvel Holding "Mystery" Event Tomorrow with Potentially Huge Announcement

There's a lot going on at Marvel's "House of Ideas" right now, and some are speculating it has to do with three recent developments. One is Warner Bros. reveal of their massive slate of DC Comics movies, lasting all the way through 2020 and including Justice League, Suicide Squad, and a bunch of solo films. Another is the leaking of the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, which forced them to put out an official version a week early rather than during tomorrow night's episode of Agents of SHIELD. The show will now feature some additional footage, but clearly Marvel isn't happy about that. And finally, the early release of their Civil War plans regarding Captain America 3.

Tomorrow, Marvel is going to be holding a special press event in LA, and some are expecting some kind of major announcement. Fans have also been invited which seems to indicate this won't just be about business, but something they hope will get the Internet buzzing. Chances are it won't be more footage from the Avengers 2 trailer, because that would be redundant. But what if Marvel is going to pull a WB and announce their entire run of upcoming movies? Could they finally reveal who will be their Doctor Strange? This would make sense if Marvel wants to start ensuring they are in control of when information is revealed, and not those in the film press. This could be the start of a new policy going forward.

Other options could be Marvel finally revealing their plans to do a female-led superhero film. Maybe a Black Panther film is on the horizon, which would be timely given the recent Avengers: Age of Ultron rumors. Or what if Marvel and Sony have finally struck that deal to share the Spider-Man rights? It's definitely something big, and we've still got all day to speculate. What do you think Marvel's announcement will be?
