Yesterday Steven Spielberg's adaptation of The BFG premiered at Cannes and let's just say it received some towering praise, and some that are more grounded. In an effort to make the most out of the buzz, Disney has dropped a brand new trailer, featuring newly-minted Oscar winner Mark Rylance as the titular big friendly giant.
Based on the Roald Dahl classic with Ruby Barnhill, Bill Hader, Jemaine Clement, Penelope Wilton, and Rebecca Hall part of the cast, the film centers on a girl who befriends a big friendly giant, one who is very different from the others who are mean, nasty, and have a tendency to eat people.
The BFG opens July 1st.
