First Trailer for 'Madame Bovary' with Mia Wasikowska, Paul Giamatti, and Ezra Miller
Playing last year in Toronto and Telluride, Sophie Barthes' adaptation of Madame Bovary didn't make a whole lot of noise. Maybe it's that Gustave Flaubert's novel has been adapted so many times before, or perhaps it's something else, but whatever the case the film seems to be hitting theaters soon because the first trailer has been released.
Mia Wasikowska stars as the titular woman who marries a doctor only to discover that being married isn't all it's cracked up to be. To escape her dull life she begins living well beyond their means and having all manner of adulterous affairs. The film co-stars Ezra Miller, Paul Giamatti, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, and Rhys Ifans.
Madame Bovary is expected to open some time in 2015.
