Nicolas Cage will Hunt Osama Bin Laden in Satirical 'Army of One'

Forget Zero Dark Thirty and the massive manhunt to capture Osama Bin Laden, the real story is that of average joe, Gary Faulkner. In 2010 he became famous for sneaking into Pakistan, armed with some simple weapons, in an effort to track down Bin Laden when the military couldn't. Faulkner got his 15 minutes of fame, and now it's getting extended as his story is being brought to the big screen in a film starring Nicolas Cage.

Cage is set to play Faulkner in the political satire, Army of One, which will be directed by Borat's Larry Charles. Scott Rothman and Rajiv Joseph (Draft Day) wrote the script based on a GQ article which shed light on Faulkner's strange story. He was a regular Colorado construction worker who became an overnight celebrity after his arrest in Pakistan and claims of trying to hunt Bin Laden.

With Charles at the helm one has to wonder if this will be a semi-improvised effort similar to Borat, and if so it could be amazing to see how Cage performs. [Deadline]
