A Rihanna Documentary is On the Way Directed by Peter Berg

So Battleship might have been atrocious but it seems something good came out of it, at least for Peter Berg and Rihanna. The two must have struck quite a friendship on set because Berg is looking to tell Rihanna's story on the big screen.

According to Deadline, Berg will get under Rihanna's umbrella for a feature documentary on the R&B star. It's being described as a character study in the vein of the Bob Dylan biopic, Don't Look Back, which makes sense considering her life is far more interesting than her music. Officially it's being described as an  “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon.”

Berg will direct the film as part of his new venture as head of production company Film 45, which will focus on non-scripted projects. Sounds potentially interesting, but right now there's no word on when shooting could begin. Wonder if it will include any of those gloriously bad scenes she had in Battleship?
